Here are the times for the Girl's GPC games and times for next Saturday in Lake Andes.

The senior government class took a trip to our SD Capitol on Wednesday and got to experience some history in the making! Not only did they get to sit and talk with our amazing District 21 legislators, attend a committee meeting and be recognized during session, the seniors were lucky enough to be able to see Kristi Noem address a joint session of Congress! This does not happen often and it was really a great experience!

We had 58 students participate in the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Shoot Contest. 11 Students shot at the District Level to compete with 20 other districts. Congratulations to Luke DeWaard who is moving on to the next level in his age bracket. Way to go to all of our participants and keep working on those Free Throws :)

Reminder, the Armour School District has a 2:00 pm dismissal tomorrow, January 26th for students. Recordatorio, el Distrito Escolar Armor tiene una salida a las 2:00 pm mañana, 26 de enero para los estudiantes.

REMINDER: Any student who brought home a Knight of Columbus scoresheet Monday, please have it signed by a parent and returned to the school by Friday the 26th. The Knights will return Friday afternoon to present certificates :)

Hearing Screenings will now be on Monday, February 26th For students in grades K, 1, 2, 3, 7, 11 Notification letters were sent home before Christmas Break. if you DO NOT want your child to participate in the screenings, please contact Andrea Wright at 605-724-2153 before 2-26-24.

Online tutoring is back Dakota Dreams Online Tutoring, a K-12 tutoring program administered by the South Dakota Board of Regents, provides homework help for your students. Led by tutors pursuing education degrees at Northern State University and Black Hills State University, these sessions are valuable tools to help students succeed inside and outside the classroom. Students can take advantage in one of two ways: Tutor Tracks or Online Homework Help. Tutor Tracks, a program for students in grades 1-8, provides guided lesson plans in three areas: reading, grammar, and math. Students using tutor tracks will meet online with their tutor twice per week over a seven-week period. Online Homework Help provides support on an as-needed basis for students in grades K-12. Sessions can be scheduled ahead of time or accessed on-demand as students need help or have questions on schoolwork. Students should bring assignments, homework, or other questions for a tutor to assist them with math, English, science, or social studies. Parents/Students should sign up by Jan. 16 for Tutor Tracks. This program is free for students in South Dakota. If you are interested, please stop in the Elementary Office and speak to Mrs. Bigge for more information regarding both programs.

Good morning. There will be NO SCHOOL today, Monday, January 8th for the Armour School Dostrict. Please stay safe and warm.

Good evening everyone. As of right now, the Armour School District will have a 2 hour late start for tomorrow, Monday, January 8th, which is a 10:30 am start. No breakfast will be provided and there will also be no Preschool. Please also know, if weather continues to progress, we may need to move towards a no school day, which will be determined tomorrow morning.

We just received a check from Box Tops and wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for scanning your grocery receipts and donating their Box Tops to the Armour School. If you would like to know more about how to scan your receipt, please feel free to stop in the Elementary office and Mrs. Bigge will gladly help.
