While last night was not a win in the books for the "Nighthawks" judging by the scoreboard, the scoreboard doesn't tell the whole story. I applaud our kids after their first game as a quad-school cooperative effort, and let them know that we are proud. There were many accomplishments, including the first touchdown of the season! As always, there are areas of improvement, but last night was a victory on many levels, and should be seen as such. Congrats Nighthawks! Keep up the good work!

We need your help!
This year we are going to focus our efforts on a couple different initiatives that will better our school, and we would LOVE your help! At our open house we will have sign-ups for those that are interested in potentially serving on our School Improvement Team and/or our Wellness Committee Team. Please thoughtfully consider your potential participation in making our school an even better place to be.
School Improvement Team members will meet with the purpose of looking at different strengths and weaknesses that we currently have throughout our district. After analyzing data, the team will develop a plan of action to better different areas throughout the school. Time commitment: Meetings 1-2 times/month (unless otherwise needed) for an estimated 1 hour per meeting.
Wellness Committee members will meet to better the health and nutritional goals of our school district to improve and enhance the health of all. We will meet, analyze the current wellness policy, and align our local practices with the state model policy. Time commitment: roughly 4 meetings throughout the year, each scheduled for an hour. (Our first meeting being September 11th at the Blue Moon, 6:30-7:30PM).
Reminder to get your 6th grade required vaccinations!
Football parent/athlete meeting thursday!
We are fortunate to have an opportunity to add-in AC/DC Football players for the next two years to our Nighthawk Football team! There will be a parent and athlete informational meeting at 7:00 on Thursday, July 27th at the Blue Moon. Please come and learn about the new exciting opportunities for Nighthawk Football!
We are so fortunate to have Camp Invention in Armour! Camp Invention is running all of this week for registered participants, Monday through Friday and is sure to excite and engage all learners! From 9:00-3:30 each day, students will be submersed in STEM activities that help their problem solving skills. Check back for pictures and updates on the fun ALWAYS happening at Armour school!
A special thank you to our Director, Mary Bitterman, our instructor, Alyssa Nase, and Leadership Intern, Carly Sparks! In collaboration with great community support (thank you parents!), we are sure to have a positive first Camp Invention that will hopefully lead to many years of STEM learning in Armour!
