1.       No vocal today due to Prairie Readers.  

2.       Prairie Readers this afternoon.  High school students who are participating will need to be dismissed at 11:40 for lunch.  Those not involved will be dismissed at 12:15 for lunch.  

They will be using our extra study hall so please stay out of it and also keep the noise down in the hallways between classes and over the noon hour.  

3.       Quite a number of you have incompletes.  These need to be taken care of by Tuesday if you wish to be placed on Honor Roll.  We will wait until then to compute Honor Roll.  This will also give the Spanish students a chance to change their grades when Mrs. Cutler returns to open their assignment.

1.        Congratulations to the seniors.  Everyone who took the test yesterday did well enough on the test yesterday to be National Career Readiness certified.   

2.        Any Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors that are interested in being a mentor, please sign up outside Mrs. Konechne's office. We will have mentor training this Saturday, March 7th at 9:30am.  

3.        This Sunday at the UCC Church, there will be a worship night from 5-7pm. This is part of Brenden's senior project. For more information, contact Brenden.  

4.       The student council is sponsoring a blood drive today.  If you are donating, check in when you go and get back.

14.     The Wagner Community Youth Group is inviting area youth groups to watch the showing of “The Song” Wed., Feb. 25, at the Wagner Theater at 7 p.m. The movie is free. Because it is rated PG-13 and addresses some serious issues, they are recommending ages 7th grade and older students only. It is a modern story-line based on the Song of Solomon.

1.      It came out in the paper that we are having parent/teacher conferences and no school for the students on Feb. 24th.  We are not sure where that came from but it wasn’t from the school and it is not the case.  Tuesday, February 24th, is a regular full day of school.

1.        Congratulations to Brenden VanDerWerff on being selected as a National Merit Scholar Finalist.  This is a very high achievement and we are very proud of him.

2.        Congratulations to the kindergarten class as they recently won an online contest sponsored by Falcon Guides.  As a result, the authors of several nature books and the editor of Birds and Blooms magazine will be coming from Madison, Wisconsin and presenting a program for K-4 students on Tuesday morning as well as presenting the kindergarteners their award and $1000 worth of books.

The Daily Republic will be out creating a story on the kindergarten class this afternoon and the article should be in the paper tomorrow as well as online.  

3.        Science Fair today.  Teachers, they need to set up the multi as soon as possible following lunch.  If you have accomplished all you need to in your third period class, you may let the students go to eat at 12:20 so that they can get an early start. Your call.

Mr. Glanzer is looking for students to assist during the Grade Boys BB tournament to be held on Saturday. There are games from 8:30 until 4:30 and jobs available from concessions to gate to scoreboard/clock timers. If you are interested and able to help, Sign up in Mr. Preheims office please. Put times that will work for you.  You will admitted free if you help out.

Anyone not helping will be charged admission.  $4 for Adults     $2 for Students

For the fifth consecutive year a generous donor has made it possible for us to waive the registration fee for up to four students from each school district.  Could you please pass the attached information along to teachers and students that might be interested in this opportunity?  The Teen Mock Legislature is open to all middle school and high school students. ***NOTE ANOTHER CHANGE:  Due to injuries and other reasons, Andes boys JV team is very short handed.  Therefore, the JV game will only be two 8-minute periods.  It will still start at 6:30, the same time as the girls varsity, but it will be a shorter game than usual.  Please inform your parents as well.  

A bus will leave Tripp with ALL personnel on it at 3:45:  boys, girls, stats, video, everyone. It will come to Armour and pick up some Armour participants and the rest will ride in the Armour van with Mr. Holbeck. Both vehicles will leave Armour at 4:15.  Coaches will arrange the trip home. If enough participants go home with parents, the Tripp bus MAY be able to go directly from Andes to Tripp without dropping kids in Armour but that will depend on the number we need to get from Andes to Armour.

1.        Mr. Glanzer got a phone call this morning from the Platte-Geddes music people congratulating the Armour Concert Choir, Girls Chorus, and Mrs Wilson on their performance Friday. They said it was "outstanding". Good job all!!  

2.        Mr. & Mrs. Schneider are in Springs today.  

3.        Honor Roll will be posted today.  We will take honor roll pictures tomorrow morning right after 1st period.  

4.        Jessica Bivens will be coming to talk to juniors and seniors about financial aid and post-high school planning on Tuesday afternoon.  She will also present to seniors and senior parents at 6:00 Tuesday evening.

Seniors will be excused at 12:00 for lunch on Tuesday.  The seniors will then meet with Jessica from 12:30 to 1:45.  She will meet with the juniors from 1:45 to 2:45.
